This is my test post

I am testing my email to see if I will be able to post short updates while we are underway.

Weather windows

We are sitting in a beautiful marina in the middle of no-where waiting for our weather window. A low pressure will be passing just north of us in the next two days and at the point we should be good to go. In the mean time, we have been busy getting prepared for the passage. This is the best prepared we have ever been before. Usually, during a passage, there is a moment when something goes crash, bang or leaks. Now, all I have to do is prepare some meals for bad weather, homeschooling and clean up. Paul wants to repair a bilge pump that he has had the rebuilt kit for almost 4 years. Funny how some projects get delayed for that long. This delay is fine with us as we get to do some little odds and ends and enjoy the spectacular view of the Whangarei Heads.

It was sad to leave our temporary home at the Town Basin Marina. Our boat neighbors have become our extended family and waving good-bye to them felt like I was leaving Hollywood again. I will have fond memories of this place and happy to have made new friends here.

We are quickly approaching the end of our stay here in New Zealand. We have been busy packing, provisioning, fixing and preparing for departure which should be at the end of this week. Vanuatu seems to be on the menu but our menu changes daily.

I am going to use this blog to keep track of current and future posting but if you want some history you can go back to our old website at http://www.gregoadventure.com/. It has become too cumbersome and takes forever to upload. I am at the liberty of shared wifi which sometimes doesn't let me upload at all. This, on the other hand, will let me do text posting while I am out at sea and update you of our travels on our SSB.

Coming Soon!

I will spend some time updating our blog before we head back out to Sea. We are currently docked in Whangarei, New Zealand and are starting to feel the buzz of excitement to head back out to the islands. Our destination, as of right now, is Vanuatu but our plans change just as quickly as the weather...
